Who We Are
We’re two female founders and long-time friends, and we created Wurthi because we both grew up loving South Asian savoury snacks - the kind of snacks that are full of flavour, impossible to stop eating, and always at the centre of conversations.
But as much as we loved them, we also became more aware of how unhealthy they were - often fried, heavy, and high in saturated fat. We found ourselves stuck between snacks that felt nostalgic and exciting, and healthy alternatives that felt bland, over-processed, or joyless.
Wurthi started with a simple idea: snacks should taste great and feel good to eat. We started experimenting with ways to recreate the bold flavours and satisfying crunch we grew up with, but in a way that felt better to eat every day.
After a lot of trial, error, and taste testing, that idea turned into something real!
Wurthi is our take on a new generation of South Asian savoury snacks - inspired by the flavours and feeling we grew up around, reimagined for the way people want to snack today.
